Careers with a future

Our economy is growing – as is the region’s need for talented people to fuel its development. The basis for the excellent job situation and an unemployment rate below the Bavarian average is in part provided by vibrant enterprises whose trademarks are innovation capacity, competence and service orientation. Of equal importance are the high-quality education and training opportunities along with the proximity to eastern Bavaria’s university locations and the trade associations’ vocational training centres.

In addition to an extensive network of primary schools and middle schools/ junior high schools, ARBERLAND has two “Gymnasium” secondary schools, which prepare students for university entrance, three “Realschule” secondary schools, one “Fach- und Berufsoberschule”, a kind of technical and vocational secondary school, and eight vocational schools offering career opportunities in everything from automation, precision optics and glassmaking to tourism and nursing.

Whether through vocational training and continuing education or a “duales Studium”, a work and study programme, there are all sorts of ways in which our young professionals can develop and achieve their goals – from workbench to boardroom, industrial mechanic to mechanical engineer or office administrator to business manager.
