Our personal message to you

Hello & Griasdi :)

we are the regional management team from the district of Regen and wish you a great start to your studies in our neighbour district Deggendorf!

Since we are practically just a stone's throw away from Deggendorf, we want to briefly introduce you our home town - the ARBERLAND.
Our district is located in the middle of the Bavarian Forest, in the heart of Europe and has a lot to offer:

Do you love dancing outdoor or on beer benches and having a great time?
>> So we do - that's why we have many festivals and even two nationally known festivals!

Do you like hiking, climbing one peak after another and relaxing in nature?
>> Perfect, in the ARBERLAND you will find 2500 km of hiking trails and 8 thousand meter peaks waiting for you!

Are you an adrenalin junkie and mostly on two wheels?
>> Great, because with 1300 km of MTB trails, we have plenty of opportunities for you!

Do you want to blow glass on yourself or experience the "Wolfauslassen" live?
>> No problem, whether summer or winter - the district Regen is your place to create unforgettable memories with friends away from campus.

And who knows, maybe you will like it here so much that you will want to stay forever? If so, you should know that it is not only a good place to live but also relatively inexpensive. Additionally, we are world leaders in four industries and therfore have some interesting companies and two technology campuses where you can start your career! Thanks to our active club life, you will surely find connections quickly. If you ever need medical care, we also have two modern district hospitals and numerous doctors.

As you can see, our district combines good quality of life, family friendliness and career opportunities. What more could you want?!
